The Walking Dead – S5, E2: “Strangers”

It’s no secret that I have been progressively disappointed in The Walking Dead, but this is the first time that I can remember actually zoning out. The whole middle of the episode is a blur. There were some swimming walkers, and the next thing I knew, everyone was drinking the church wine. It had been a long day and I assumed it was just me. I watched it again this morning, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED. I caught on this time, and I forced myself to maintain focus. It was difficult. Let’s Explore Diabetes With Owls by David Sedaris

I love David Sedaris. Love. Enough emphasis cannot be placed on that word. Sedaris’s books are composed of various essays on any range of topics. In Let’s Explore Diabetes With Owls, he writes about his quest for the perfect Valentine’s day gift, which, in this case, happens to be a stuffed (in the taxidermy sense) owl. In another essay, he discusses how parents today reason with their children instead of simply beating them, and in yet another, he chronicles his periodontic woes and how he secretly enjoys this particular branch of dental torture.
